Will it transpose chords?
Yes. Individual notes and chords are transposed.
How well does it track?
Chromavoder begins transposing all notes in its range instantly as they sound. It does not have to track you.
Is it an 'intelligent' pitch shifter?
No. Chromavoder is a natural transposition engine, it does not attempt to compose your harmony for you.
How much delay is on the transposed sound?
Mathematically the delay is zero. Perceptually you will hear the transposed notes come to full volume faster if you attack them harder and on pitch.
The response is tight enough to play as fast as you feel like playing.
Does it transpose my playing through a bend?
No. Chromavoder responds to notes played on pitch.
As you bend, or slide to another note, it musically and gracefully fades out and back in again.
It is a natural behavior, like accompaniment, that you use artistically.
Is it difficult to play?
Not really. A tuned instrument and a good ear are all you need to play it right away.
As you work with Chromavoder you take control of its physical nature.
What is the range that can be transposed?
Notes within the range E0 thru Eb8 will be transposed if the transposed notes are also within that range.
E0 is the E below the piano keyboard, one octave below a bass guitar.
Eb8 is the Eb above the piano keyboard.

Can I use it with other instruments or synths?
Absolutely, any electrified instrument.
The effect pedal has a wide dynamic range.
On battery power it handles instrument level devices,
on a 9V DC power supply you can also use it with line level devices.
Does it play synthetic sounds like octave boxes?
No. Chromavoder's sound is a smooth and natural mathematical transformation of your own sound.
It lets you play your instrument harmonically multiplied by any two chromatic intervals you choose, not just octaves:
close triads, open inversions, and extreme range shifts, with voices transposed as much as 48 semitones, or four octaves down or up.
Can I keep my original sound all analog?
Yes. The tap footswitch lets you choose either to blend your full analog input sound with the effect, or to vary a mix of your digitized input sound and the effect.
How do I chain two together?
With a pair of cables. Connect L to L, R to R, and use both outputs of the second pedal.
Set both mode switches to bus mode.
In bus mode the L channel is the effect bus, the R channel is the direct bus.
The tap footswitch on the second pedal switches its input between the direct bus for four independent voices, and the effect bus for eight staged voices.
How do I get a direct out?
In bus mode with both outputs used and a mono or chained input, the R output becomes a direct out.
